My intent being a tutor is to form in my learners a deep understanding and self-assurance in answering test questions and being able to tackle new problems. The base of my philosophy is the belief that learning develops in an atmosphere of reciprocal appreciation where the person is supported to think and find new connections for themselves. My experience has been that private lesson has a unique advantage to students because of the opportunity to break down the learners' own boundaries to study in a way that sets the bases for a thorough and long-term understanding of the theme.
Analytic thinking
My approach depends on the child's needs and learning style. My teaching theory is built upon motivating learners to think for themselves, applying real-world examples as long as they can. |To my mind it is important to provide students with a working skills and to form problem-solving skills for establishing upon this knowledge. Tutoring anyone to think analytically is at the base of the things a student must withdraw off any subject program.
The most important contribution
Coaching students is among the most durable contributions a coach are able to make, and it is a technique, which I consider to be pleasurable and beneficial. From my practice, I discovered the value of engaging children through models and of pitching material at a degree which assumes comprehension though not specifically knowledge, mixing the known with the unknown within a mix that delivers the learner the disposition of likelihood instead of that one of impossibility that formal and impressive techniques may lay down.
Using a lot of practising
I start from topics the students are good with and proceed little by little to more complicated areas while their self-esteem is being grown. I bring into play examples and questions to confirm comprehending all the time. I never lecture to students or tell them to remember things. Neither do I do the students' assignments for them!
I constantly prioritise test-style as well as previous queries in order to confirm, practice and improve the scholar's realising and performance. I also give a lot of emphasis to a number of the not so much vital but obvious skill sets such as logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the efficient use of numbers and graphs.
